We are pleased to announce that Toshifumi Kokubun, Director of our Institute, has been appointed as an advisor to the “Strategic Headquarters on the Creation of a New International Order Policy Research Council, Liberal Democratic Party of Japan,” which was established by the Political Research Commission of the Liberal Democratic Party of Japan.
The Strategic Headquarters was established with the awareness of the need to identify issues that have emerged through the fight against the COVID-19 and infectious diseases, to provide prescriptions and prepare for the next crisis, and to enhance the value of Japan’s presence in the international community while keeping an eye on changes in the international situation after the COVID-19.
Period of appointment as an advisor: June 4, 2020 to September 30, 2020
